Itinerary for Tournament of Roses Parade 2020

DAY 1 – Upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport, transfer to your Long Beach hotel. The day is yours to enjoy at leisure. This evening join your Tour Guide and fellow travelers for a welcome reception at the hotel.

DAY 2 – After breakfast, take a journey through 100 years of Hollywood history on a Paramount Pictures Studio Tour. Visit backlots, soundstages and the prop warehouse as you experience Hollywood’s original movie studio in person. Keep your eyes open, because you never know who you might see. After lunch, continue to the Academy Awards Museum. Be among the first to visit this incredible museum, which includes six stories and over 50,000 square feet dedicated to the art and science of movies. Its galleries include photographs, films, posters, screenplays, historic motion picture objects and more. (B, L)

DAY 3 –Travel to Pasadena, where you will be fully immersed in the excitement around the Tournament of Roses. Tour the float barns as volunteers work around-the-clock to put the finishing touches on the magnificent Rose Parade floats. Later, tour The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. See the art collections, exhibits, and rare and exotic plants from around the world. This evening toast the new year with your fellow travelers, as you enjoy a New Year’s Eve dessert reception. DAY 4 – Happy New Year! Today will be an early morning start and the highlight of your trip. The Tournament of Roses Parade is the parade of all parades and one of America’s favorite New Year’s Day celebrations. More than one million spectators will line the streets of Pasadena to view this spectacular event, and you will join them with prime viewing from reserved grandstand seats! Take in the aroma of the giant floral floats as they go by and enjoy an up-close view of the talented marching bands and dancers. Following the parade, join us for lunch and a tour of the Queen Mary. Now docked in Long Beach harbor, it was once the grandest ocean liner on the seas. The evening is yours. (B, L)
